The digital age offers vast opportunities but also exposes children to risks like cyberbullying, misinformation, and exploitation. With over 4 billion online users, including many youth, digital access profoundly impacts young lives. While it opens doors to learning and culture, it also increases online dangers, requiring urgent measures to ensure safe and enriching digital experiences.

Safer Internet Day (SID) 2025, themed “Together for a Better Internet,” marks Kenya’s 12th commemoration. Hosted in Kitale at Manor House Agricultural Centre by Edutab Africa and the Child Tech Counties Consortium, it will address digital safety challenges in rural areas. The event will empower communities with tools to navigate the digital world responsibly through workshops and campaigns, bridging the digital divide and promoting safe internet use for vulnerable groups.
